Look forward to the nearby Nassfeld ski area, the natural toboggan run Guggenberg, and numerous cross-country ski trails right by the hotel in the winter. The Weissensee is perfect for ice skating and is just a short drive away.

The romantic story of our Biedermeier castle
The "Lerchenhof" was built in 1848 as the seat of Julius Emanuel Wodley for his upcoming marriage. However, he died very young and before completion. Through inheritance and marriage, the "Lerchenhof" came into the possession of the Steinwender-Hof, which directly adjoins the "Lerchenhof" and where a proud, genuine farming tradition has been lived and passed down for many generations.
In 1928, the property was divided between two sons. Hans Steinwender took over the "Lerchenhof", ran the farm with his wife Frieda, bred horses, and was publicly involved.
In 1939, the estate was placed under monument protection and recognized as "Schloss Lerchenhof". In 1959, Hans Steinwender and his wife Gertrude took over the estate and opened a guesthouse. Since 1996, Hans and Gerhild Steinwender have been running the castle with 4-star comfort rooms and a wellness area.
At Schloss Lerchenhof today, four generations of Steinwenders live.

As loving and individual as the castle, so are our rooms. None is like the other and each offers an incomparable view of the Gailtal and Carnic Alps!
Our castle has 20 cozy and comfortable non-smoking rooms and apartments. We can accommodate 40 guests, allowing us to consciously and individually cater to your needs. Please note that there may be variations in the presentation of the rooms.
The spaciousness of the staircase with its stately and historic ambiance opens up the two floors at Hotel Schloss Lerchenhof. The ten rooms on each floor are accessed via a magnificent hall, which is lovingly and homely designed.
An elevator was and is not provided in the listed Hotel Schloss Lerchenhof.
